A deer pulled a stunt and jumped from the side of the road into my son's car last night.  These are the pictures of the damage.  He was not hurt, and the car is at the auto body shop now.  Taken with my Samsung tablet because I forgot to bring my camera when we went to leave the key with car and retrieve some items.

The fall colors are at their peak where I live, and that's definitely deserving of praise.  The colors are absolutely stunning this year with very bright reds, oranges, and yellows that I see on my daily drives.  Some of the most beautiful are along the roads where there isn't anywhere to pull over.  This is the view down my driveway.

I love Reese's peanut butter cups, especially the holiday themed ones: the pumpkins, the trees, the eggs.  It's a joyous time when I can find the 6-packs of the single packs instead of the bags with the fun sized ones.  No matter what, the packaging is always orange.

I spent most of today helping at a rest stop for an annual bike ride in our community.  We were responsible for prepping food for the cyclists to snack on during the bike ride.  Given that the ride is called the Great Pumpkin Ride, there are a lot of pumpkin themed foods like pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, and pumpkin soup.  I didn't have the time to check all of the prompts for the day as I was working, but I did strive to try to stick to the theme of minimalism.  Here's my collage for the day.

The logo for Mathnasium, where I work, is an A+.  There's even a mascot based on the logo called Ace.  All of our materials have the A+ embedded in the name where it spells out the word Math.  Isolating just the A+ is difficult, but I like how you can see that it forms the word.

Today I said goodbye to locker 209 at the bowling alley.  The new corporate owners have decided to get rid of all of the lockers and replace them with more games, of all things.  None of the league bowlers are happy about this.  Now I have to go back to lugging all of my stuff to the bowling alley every week, and it's going to make the lanes more crowded.

Today I helped hand out water with other members of my church family.  We have been doing this for a few years at the Remington Fall Festival, which is a mainstay of the fall scene in southern Fauquier County.  There were so many people in the street, and I am not very tall so it was difficult to get a good overview picture showing all of the booths lining Main Street.

As I was driving home from work, pondering how I was going to get a picture for the day since I hadn't taken one yet, I noticed that the moon was already out and the clouds were in a line across the sky.  I drove to my usual spot at church to see if I could get a picture before the sun actually set.  I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out given that all I had with me was my Nikon Coolpix, which I made sure to put in manual mode.

Metamorphosis

The goal for today was to find something white that can be changed into another color.  These uncooked potatoes will become a crispy brown after cooking in the oven and will be topped by cheese and sour cream in the recipe from Home Chef that I am making tonight.
