We had a snow day today, and I finished up a new Lego project.  This is the Family Tree, which the little plaque on the front notes.  It has lots of space for pictures or note cards.  I personalized it to have some pink flowers and a minifig to represent myself.  It included a little camera and book, which are things I love.

My team had to bowl a make-up game today because none of us could make it to the bowling alley last week after all of the snow we received.  We couldn't decide if we had really won any games or not.  We'll see tomorrow when we bowl again.

My mom gave these angels to me this year.  They belonged to my grandmother, and she thought I might like to have them.  I think I am going to make them part of my Christmas decorations from now on.

Some of my daffodils have started blooming!  Mine almost always bloom a few weeks after everyone else's so I was very happy to see this.  The quote is slightly adapted (to fit on my message board) from a passage in Farmer Boy by Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Keepsake

A ring that belonged to my grandmother and my high school and college class rings; all with my topaz birthstone.  I'm the only child or grandchild who shared a November birthday with my grandmother so it was natural that I would get her topaz jewelry.

Today we spent the day with my husband's family at his parents' house.  The Christmas tree had a lot of sparkle.

 

 

We also did a little celebration for my mother-in-law's birthday.

In addition to her Currier & Ives china set, my mom also gave me her sterling silverware set.  We use it for holiday dinners and special family gatherings.  I'm not the best at keeping it polished.  In also keep the case in a drawer instead of out on the counter.
