Where I Stand

I'm standing in my dining room this morning trying to get the place settings set for a family dinner this afternoon so that we aren't rushing to get it set when the food is ready to eat.

One of my mom's sisters makes homemade chocolates for us for Easter.  Here are some of the "turtles" that she made this year.

Yummy

Homemade Easter candy is definitely yummy.  Here is a small selection of what my aunt made for us this year.  I chose a point of view from above.

Staggering

Picture More | Point of View
The church sanctuary was decorated with Easter lilies and a few other meaningful symbols of the day.  "In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, 'Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!' " ~Luke 24:5-6a

Happy Easter 2022!

Giving

Picture Color | Green

My older son had to fly to New Mexico for a business trip so we had our family Easter dinner a day early.  It wasn't really anything fancy, but it was nice to sit down and eat together.  There is a little green scattered here and there throughout the picture.  Photo courtesy of David.

Nature (Easter)

Picture Style | Golden Hour
This wasn't quite the golden hour, but these flowers at church were too pretty to pass up.  "On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb." ~Luke 24:1

Remember

Picture You | Currently
I have a couple of things to remember from today. My spring flowers have started to bloom!  This might be the earliest they've ever opened.  And my wonderful aunt made us Easter candy.

New

Picture You | Currently | Where I Stand
For just the second week in a row, we are seated in church on a Sunday morning.  This is still a "new" experience since we haven't met inside in over a year.

How can you photograph something from the back that will really make it interesting?  The back of the palms in preparation for Palm Sunday.

Cloth

Picture Color | Yellow
We had an Easter craft day at church.  It was our first in-person fellowship event in over a year.  There were only a few of us in attendance, and it was held outdoors to further reduce risks.  We put together some little baskets for Easter and made some cards to send to people who are homebound.  A few people made some little Easter bunnies out of cloth.  There were quite a few bits of yellow here.
