Slide

The first thing I thought of when I saw this prompt was an afternoon after church a few years ago (2017) when my friend and I tested out the new playground equipment.  We had to make sure it was safe for the young children, you know.

Today is my mother-in-law's birthday.  Since it's her 80th, we decided to something special and took her to lunch at a local venue that has a brewery and restaurant.  Since there were ten of us, we were able to get a private room.  This is a group photo to commemorate the day, and since we were in the Barrel Room, we are framed by the barrels.

Healthy

Picture You | Picture My Reflection
This year we bought some outdoor ornaments to decorate a tree in our yard.  It was a family affair to get it decorated.  My husband agreed to maneuver his tractor so that I could hang the ornaments on some of the higher branches, and my son documented the efforts with the camera.

My mom wants to make a bowling calendar as a gift for someone who recently left our league, and she has enlisted my help to take pictures of all of the teams.  Today I set up the photo of our team and had another bowler press the button after I got into the picture.  (I had been setting up the pictures portrait style because it eliminates a lot of the clutter, but then my mom showed me the calendar she's using and most, if not all, of the pictures are supposed to be landscape.)

Faith

Picture Style | Double Exposure
Today is my husband's birthday so I tried to combine a picture that I took of him on a hike on Skyline Drive probably close to 30 years ago with the message board that I left for him today.  I have faith that he will be around the celebrate many more birthdays.

Picture Style | Double Exposure
I wanted to superimpose my dad's Air Force picture over an American flag.  I think it worked successfully.

This is my attempt to re-create the picture of my sons from our August 2006 trip to Seattle to take an Alaska cruise.  I used a bouncy ball, a couple of Lego minifigs, and a LEGO model of the Space Needle.

Force

Picture More | Rules of Space
"Forced perspective is a technique which manipulates human perception by employing optical illusion to make objects appear larger, smaller, farther, or closer than they really are. By viewing the correlation between scaled objects and the vantage point of the camera or spectator, human visual perception becomes altered."  When your son brings over a deer skull, you can't not use it in a picture.

We ate dinner at Craft 31 in Williamsburg tonight.  They serve craft beer, Bottoms Up pizza, and gourmet burgers.  Nearly all of us tried out new beverages.  My husband got a flight of beers to try.
