If you were thinking that a Biden presidency might not be so bad, you might want to think twice. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says that Congress is looking into media literacy initiatives and expressed a desire to rein in the media. Exactly which media is she looking to rein in? There are definitely shades of '1984' here. We are reminded of Pastor Martin Niemöller's famous words:

"First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."
