Patterns | Guest Prompt

The patterns on this building under construction in Tuscaloosa caught my eye.  It made me wonder what it was eventually destined to look like.

Cheer

Today we left for a quick trip to Alabama for our son's graduation from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!).  When we made plans for the trip, we decided to make it relaxing and made reservations on Amtrak.

Celebration

Catching up on posts.  The chairs are set up on the floor of the Coleman Coliseum in anticipation of mid-year graduation.  I liked the pattern that the empty chairs made.

Care

I noticed this nautical pattern on a gate along the pier when we were at National Harbor recently.  Someone took a lot of care in getting all of the anchors placed correctly.

Prizewinning

Picture Basic | Patterns
The church Chrismon tree is prizewinning in my book.  I did the Children's Story today and used Luke 3:1-6 (NIRV) as the Bible verse to illustrate.  "Tiberius Caesar had been ruling for 15 years. Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea. Herod was the ruler of Galilee. His brother Philip was the ruler of Iturea and Traconitis. Lysanias was ruler of Abilene. Annas and Caiaphas were high priests. At that time God’s word came to John, son of Zechariah, in the desert. He went into all the countryside around the Jordan River. There he preached that people should be baptized and turn away from their sins. Then God would forgive them. Here is what is written in the book of Isaiah the prophet. It says,

“A messenger is calling out in the desert,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord.
Make straight paths for him.
5 Every valley will be filled in.
Every mountain and hill will be made level.
The crooked roads will become straight.
The rough ways will become smooth.
6 And all people will see God’s salvation.’ ” (Isaiah 40:3–5)
