This house is familiar to me.  For one, I drive by it frequently.  For another, a friend of mine and her family lived with her grandparents here for about a year.  I got to visit several times and was able to see the stunning interior, all three levels.  It has been disappointing to see its decline over the past several years.

This building was once a church, but for probably over thirty years it has been a house.  The former owners had painted it purple.  I wish I had gotten a picture of it then.  New owners recently purchased it and have been renovating it.

In 1985 I was able to travel to Spain with the Spanish classes from my high school.  I scanned this picture of one of the plazas in Sevilla.  Apparently it was designed for the Ibero-American exhibition of 1929 in and around the Maria-Luisa Park.  The plaza is so empty because, as I recall, we visited it during siesta time.

This is Mantyla, or the Lindholm House, by Frank Lloyd Wright.  It was built in 1952 in northern Minnesota.  The name means "house among the pines" in Finnish.  The house is a 2300 square foot Usonian house.  After the radiant floor heating system went out and the house was being encroached upon by development, the Lindholm's grandson, who had been living in the house, sold the house to Polymath Park in 2016 to preserve it.  This house is currently ready for you to stay overnight if it has been your dream to live (if only briefly) in a Frank Lloyd Wright home.
